A.
The stars are so bright
Making me blind
all through
the night
A.
The shooting stars
Gave me a wish
It seemed so bizarre
But I asked for a fish
A.
It’s all I want
Can I have it please
I’ll be so happy
And I’ll be at ease
A.
They’re so powerful
With strength in numbers and size
The stars are magnificent
So please
Can I get my fish?
In my song I was trying o think about being a little kid when I would look up at the stars and think how people would see a shooting stars and make a wish. I wanted a fish for a while as a little kid and this memory turned into the theme of my song because I saw the example of the Frozen song. I thought about how big stars are and how they light up the night with so much power. I tried to rhyme words that were at the end of the lines and I also thought it would be easier to write the song in my own format. If I just wrote verses through AAAA rather than include a chorus like if I wrote AABA because I’m not that musical and I would probably write something that I wouldn’t be as pleased with. It was sort of hard because writing a song actually requires a lot of creativity and imagination but I thought it was cool because it challenges you to be creative and use your imagination. I don’t think my song was super successful but I think it did focus on the basics of Romanticism where I wrote that a shooting star gave me a wish. I don’t think I’ll really write a song again because I’m a person that prefers to listen music rather than create it. If I did however, I think I would do it about the rain or riding a bike.
