Abstract Finger Painting

The experience was weird but satisfying because typically when I do art I have something in mind that I want to put on the art piece. This time however, I had more fun because I was able to just do whatever I wanted instead of getting angry because I couldn’t draw or paint what I wanted. It was easier to do abstract painting and it was relieving because I was in a flow with my paint and I could just put my feelings down. My sister however seemed a little bit frustrated because she didn’t have an objective on what she was trying to paint. Most paintings are very obvious as to what they are showing so they have a lot of realism and there isn’t much thinking to them. Aside from admiring and looking at the technique in which the art piece was created, there is very little thinking. With my painting, I could put my emotions down and viewers could interpret my work in different ways.
